IME5132 - How to Survive the Ministry

Course Description

According to Robert Clinton more than 80% of pastors who start in the ministry (parish ministry anyway) never finish in the ministry. Why? What are the factors? Whose to "blame"? How can pastors learn to swim and not sink in the strong currents of ministry waters? Where does one turn when they've been "turned" on by leadership (general, district, local), parishioners, family?

Course Objectives

The following will be achieved by completing this course:

1. To examine the potential pitfalls associated with pastoral ministry.
2. To explore ways pastors can successfully navigate the changing seasons of ministry effectively.
