IME7072 - Faith Mentoring in the 21st Century

Course Description

This course aims to engage learners in the discovery of faith mentoring as a spiritual practice. Course participants will explore proven mentoring principles that will enhance their ability to lead people toward professional and spiritual development. Through this process of discovery, each learner will develop a philosophy of mentoring that reflects his/her own personality, relational style and professional interests.

Course Objectives

  1. Discover mentoring as a dynamic relational process that effectively engages the culture of 21st century living.
  2. Develop a personal philosophy of mentoring that reflects one's professional goals and spiritual character.
  3. Explore various ways in which mentoring can be accomplished utilizing modern tools of technology.
  4. Understand the stages of mentoring and the dynamic structure of regular mentor/mentee meetings.
  5. 5. Engage others in the process of mentoring through creative connections and deliberative actions.
