IME9002 - Older Adult Ministry: Why Are They Still Here?

This course will provide an examination of the special needs of older adults and how to best minister to their needs as well as involve them in ministry for and by senior adults. Understanding that they still want to be active in their church!

1. The student will understand the changing nature of the older population and how that affects the church’s ministry to them and by them.
2. The student will be better able to equip older adults in the church for service.
3. The student will be better able to provide assistance to older adults in the church and in the community.
4. The student will be better able to equip older adults in the church for spiritual growth.
5. The student will understand how to address end-of-life issues with older adults.
