Tending to the Spiritual, Emotional, and Physical Health of Pastors
Dr. London has become known as a "Pastor to Pastors" throughout his 20+ year career with Focus on the Family. A fourth generation minister, Dr. London was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, and is a graduate of Pasadena College (now Point Loma Nazarene University). He was ordained on May 24, 1962, by the Church of the Nazarene. Before joining Focus on the Family, Dr. London pastored for 31 years. His desire was to continue to serve and minister to pastors in whatever way God leads.
The H.B. London Institute (HBLI) Pastoral Certificate Program, based on Dr. London's books, resources, and experience, is comprised of eight courses designed to help pastors with leadership through focusing on their own spiritual, emotional, and physical health.
IME delivers this program via NBC's state-of-the-art web-based program, providing online Lifelog Learning credits for ministers as part of their professional improvement and personal growth plan.
There are a total of eight HBLI courses in the certificate program. However, pastors may take one or more courses of their choice for professional advancement even if they are not interested in earning a program certificate. Each course is worth two Lifelong Learning credits and is only $160, plus the cost of the book.
IME students may participate at the time of their choosing (24 hours a day) on any three (3) days in each week.
Each class will include the following basic elements:
These courses are designed to assist pastors in caring for themselves and their families as they fulfill their calling in ministry. Ministers and their families are of the utmost importance to Dr. London. Through these courses, Dr. London wants to help you strengthen your marriage, family, and ministry.
Whether you take all eight courses for the Certificate in Pastoral Care or if you only want to take one or more for your own personal growth, you will find these courses of great value to you both personally and professionally.
